Note: This procedure involevs editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Start and save a game, then use a text eidtor to open up the ".Sav" file in the saved folder of the game. Below the name you selected will be random numebrs. The fisrt number is the amount of money you have. Change that to any desired amount.
